What is Wepic and how can it help you?
It all started in Spain with Freepinc. The Universe consists of Freepic, FLaticon, and Slidesgo, and in 2021 Wepic joined the group.
Wepic is an online design platform that allows its users to directly create their own designs online. There are already made media and content provided for Wepic users. All the graphics are licensable to use, but you can use the platform for free and with your own graphics. It came to be in 2021 in Europe, thus it is fairly new and not a lot of people know about it yet.
Wepic is suitable for individuals or businesses and provides hundreds of templates for marketing, education, social media, and other use cases. The tool can be used to add interactive elements to templates, such as gif's, stickers, hashtags, or music.
It is free to use but it also offers a paid plan through Freepic.
There is a desktop version and also an app, the desktop editor and the app editor are very similar and easy to use. Everything is clearly visible. The design of the editor resembles Canva so if you're a Canva user you won't have difficulting adjusting on Wepic. Its metric system is in pixels and centimeters, no inches for US-based users. The app is the same as the desktop version but it still has some glitches here and there. Nothing too serious.
Wepic offers more features in the free plan than Canva which is why I prefer using it. It has a photo editor, AI generator, brand kit, background remover, mobile app, social media scheduler, a wide variety of fonts and the option to upload your own fonts, and more. The assets library is a bit lacking compared to Canva but you can still find enough designs to fit your needs.
Of course, if you're planning or reselling the designs you create on Wepik it is best to read through their licensing agreement and TOU. When I talk about it being free I'm referring to personal use and marketing with your own graphics.
