Art Commentary channels: love the art mute the audio

There is a reason why I don’t get involved with art communities, nor do I comment on commentary videos even if the creator is talking about a creator that I follow and like and that is because these types of videos show 20% of the entire situation.
I can’t form an opinion on the topic from just one video, so I watch others, but they are just copies of the first one. Nothing new is said, therefore, I don’t get involved and in most cases, these drama things go away in a month or so. So why even bother commenting?
But the thing is, these types of videos usually have speed drawings of beautiful art behind them and that is why I watch them. Usually, I just mute the audio and watch the drawing process and try to learn as much as I can from just looking.
However, recently I’ve started to listen to them just as background noise while I draw and the sh** that they bring up and say. Oh boy, I do not want to get on that side of the internet for sure.
Some of them are, well quite “savage” and dig up all sorts of things about the creator they are talking about. For what? Spread the “truth” they found through other people and not the actual source… Whenever I listen to commentary channels, I take it with a grain of salt. Not everything is as it seems, especially online. I mean if you’re going to share things about a situation or person to shed some light on the matter, share everything. Not just the pieces that are going to give you views and likes.
I mean, I’m that type of a person who isn’t going to put more oil to the fire because I’m not squeaky clean myself. If I’m curious about the matter, I’ll go to the source and ask.
We all make mistakes; some are minor some are bigger. Does everybody need to know about them, discuss them, dissect them, mold them. HELL NO! Mind your own business. Clean your own porch. Unless you are the one who is directly involved and affected, and you just want to share your story. But other than that, mind your own beeswax.
But no, since we are humans, we need conspiracy theories and lots of them. In the end, the original story gets so twisted and damaged you can’t tell who is who and what is what anymore. And since we live in an age where everything is accessible now and here, I think this problem has become even worse.
But the bigger issue here is, the art behind them is getting linked to that story. Where in fact it has nothing to do with it. And now whenever I see a similar art piece I get reminded of that story. Instead, I should be admiring the art for the sake of art itself.
So, if by any chance I start making commentary videos on my channel, I’ll talk about my own shit and problems, and if I sway off the topic. You, as a fan, have every right to remind me about this post.
But I can 100% guarantee I won’t, cause “I’m too old for this shit!”
